Congrats to Frank Ujazdowski on a great buck and all-around amazing day on Sunday. Here’s what Frank sent us:
“I started off the day hunting my hawk and catching a squirrel yesterday, so I figured if the squirrels are out the deer will be. I’ve been deer hunting pretty hard and just haven’t had much buck activity by me. I’m hunting near the airport in Outagamie County and it’s been very quiet. Yesterday I decided to sit because the packers have been kind of no worth watching ( although I did pick them to beat Dallas). I got in the stand at 2 and right away they started cutting the corn east of me so I figured the deer would be moving. Sure, enough I saw a doe. Then a 6-point buck. 30 mins later I saw this 8 but he was at 50 yds in the grass. Then he bedded down in the grass. An hour later a doe and 2 – 4 pt bucks came by. They went through and the 8 got up walked away and 15 mins later he came back walking the same trail the doe was on. I said if you come on this trail at 20 yds. Your dead! He did. Shot him at 20 through both lungs, he went 30 yds and pitched in the grass 10 feet from where he originally was bedded. 8 point 16inch spread. Got him out of the woods just in time to see the packers tie and win in overtime! Great day!”
Frank is an Account Manager working out of our De Pere Office. Sounds like he had an incredible day yesterday, and to top it off he sent us a few pics from his hawk hunt as well. Congrats again, Frank, on an unforgettable day.
