Casey, yet again, took down another buck shortly after harvesting his buck in Iowa! He made his way down to a property in Missouri that he was able to hunt. The property looked good so he set up in a spot for the next morning hunt. He snuck into the stand set in the morning toting his decoy along and set it up 25 yards away in a CRP field facing him. Right away at day break he had small bucks running through the creek bottom behind him. About 7:30 in the morning he spotted a doe working her way down the fence line with a nice buck following behind her. He let out a loud grunt to get his attention. The buck looked up and made his way down the fence line to a spot that he could cross. After the buck jumped the fence he made his way right to Casey’s decoy set. He gave him a perfect quartering away shot and Casey made it count. The buck snow plowed through the CRP field to the fence and crashed right at the fence line. Congrats on yet another great Pope & Young buck Casey! Casey’s Missouri buck ended up scoring 142 1/8″!
