John Buresh landed a great buck hunting with his son Drew. Here is what John had to say:
“I shot this 8 pointer on opening Saturday evening while sitting with my son Drew. We watched this buck at 240 yards by some red whips on the very edge of the neighboring property for 10-15 minutes. The buck stood and watched the neighbor hunter in his ladder stand, we don’t know if the neighbor saw him or didn’t shoot because the deer was on the property boundary. Finally the buck decided to head towards us. He walked straight towards us until turning broadside at 120 yards, game over. Good buck, great hunt and the best part was being with my son to enjoy the excitement. I did offer the shot to Drew but he was bit nervous and really exited so he told me to take it.”
This is what hunting is all about if you ask me! Great job John showing your son how it’s done. Pretty sure you’ll have a future hunter on your hands in the near future. The smile says it all! John is a Project Executive from the De Pere office.
