  • Brady Weidman Bow Buck

    Brady Weidman Bow Buck

Congrats to Brady Weidman with his buck taken with the bow in in the late season! Brady is a Service Technician out of the Wisconsin Rapids location. Check out his story:

    January 4th, 4:00 p.m. Waushara county.

It was a crisp afternoon with some freezing  rain. When the quiet broke, the food plot started to come alive. One by one, does filtered out until there were nine of them feeding in front of me. Then he appeared! My hunting partner had crossed paths with this buck more times than we could count this year, but could never quite seal the deal. Now he was standing in my lane. I watched him closely, knowing patience would matter more than anything. When he took that final step and turned just enough to give me a perfect quartering away shot, everything slowed down. I drew, settled my pin, and released. The arrow hit perfect, driving through and stopping in the off side shoulder. The impact was solid and unmistakable. The buck went down right there, expiring within seconds, the heart and lungs completely dismantled. Clean, ethical, and exactly how every bowhunter hopes it ends. As I walked up on him, the season replayed in my mind. The frustration from September, when I hit my target buck but never recovered him, still lingered. That one had weighed on me all year. But standing over this deer, I felt a sense of closure. After a season filled with close calls, hard lessons, and unfinished business, this buck was the perfect ending to the 2025 archery season. A reminder of why patience matters, why persistence pays off, and why we keep coming back!

“Got another doe on our annual muzzleloader hunt. We were hunting on the Garden Peninsula of the UP on my son in law’s family land. I was sitting in a redneck blind with my daughter Ashley and her daughters Benelli 4 and Briar 2. Weather was cold and windy with snow squalls. The deer were coming out from all directions and lots of them. Ashley shot two and I shot one. All nice big ones. It was a very special hunt with the little ones along and they were such little troopers. Wish we could have gotten some better pictures but the weather was brutal especially with the girls along. What a way to wrap up my season!”

  • Kirk Altergott Antlerless Buck

    Kirk Altergott Antlerless Buck

Congrats to Kirk Altergott on a successful hunt this past week! Kirk is a Master Plumber working out of the Wrightstown facility.

“I got what I thought was a nice size doe but turns out it was a buck that had already shed its antlers 12/13/25. Marinette county. I found a good looking spot scouting after my cold morning hunt. The deer had been scratching in the leaves feeding on acorns. I constructed a quick ground blind up on a ridge down wind of the area where I thought they would come out to feed. Everything went as planned! I made a good shot on it and was happy to get it at 2pm before the temperature dropped!”
