Congrats to Dave Vaughan on getting an arrow in this unique racked buck taken this weekend! This was taken in Dave’s backyard in Oconto county and the hard word Dave puts into his property is definitely paying off! Dave said the buck came in within 15 yards by itself and he had to put a quick shot on him. He trailed the buck for 150 yards and lost blood so he called in Hunter Falish and his dog to help finish the track. As it turns out, Dave caught the liver of the deer and it was a good thing he called the dogs in. Dave said that Hunter’s dog did an amazing job and after an additional 150 yards after the blood stopped and crossing a creek, the buck was found! Great to hear that Dave didn’t give up on this one and kept at it and a special thanks to Hunter for taking a ride to help out a co-worker! Dave is a plumbing foreman and is currently working on odds and ends waiting to get back on all the Lambeau Field projects. Hunter is a plumbing apprentice/foreman currently working on the Southern Door School District projects.
