Jackson Snee sent in his post about his love for camping. Jackson works out of the Altoona location as a Project Coordinator. I think many of us at TG can relate to this post as camping is a great way to get away from it all. Thanks for sharing Jackson! Here is what Jackson had to say about his recent camping trip:
It was a really fun trip! Friday night we got just short of down poured on. It rained for like 10 hours straight. But other than that we had nice weather! I went with my girlfriend, Riley. This was our first-time camping without our families (and my second- or third-time tent camping). We learned a lot about what it takes to plan the camping trip, from planning hikes down to the meals and how WONDERFUL prepping meals at home can be. We got to hang out on the beach and relax with a book. It was great!!
I’ve gone camping a lot in my life. My family would go for two weeks every summer growing up. We’d pack our pop-up camper and go all over the country and beyond. We’d almost exclusively go to national parks or state parks. We’ve gone as far south (for example Zion National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Arches), been out west (Yosemite, Redwood national Park), been north into Canada (Banff and Jasper). My family has been all over. Now, with so many little kiddos (I have lots of nieces and nephews), we do a family trip someone around MN or western WI.
It was really fun to camp and plan for ourselves this time!
