Congrats to Scott McAllister in his bow buck he took in Adams County! Scott is an Account Manager working out of the Wisconsin Rapids location. I spoke with Scott over the phone and he was both happy about this buck and sad at the same time. He said that when this all went down, there was a huge 11 point he was after and was just out of range in his food plot. While being patient with the 11 point hoping he was going to walk in a little closer, a house nearby let there Corgy dog out to go potty and the dog began barking non-stop and scared the buck away. After the dog was let back into the house, Scott began to do some calling and sure enough, the big 11 came back into the plot but was still skittish and ran off again. Scott put the grunt tube to work again and this time the buck came in closer and headed for an opening for a shot. Scott drew back and put the arrow in the perfect spot but he decided to let him lay just to be safe. When he went to retrieve the buck, as he approached, he noticed it wasn’t the big 11. Instead it was this nice 8 point that he thought was the big 11. So Scott actually had two bucks in the same spot! The good news is that the big 11 is still out there and hopefully Scott can get him in his sights during the gun season. Below is the pic of the big 11 he thought he shot:
