Congrats to Justin Beck with his massive buck taken in Jackson County! Justin is the Director of Service Central Wisconsin Accounts. I was able to put some tape to the behemoth and it scored 151 1/8″ putting it in 2nd place thus far! The buck is a main frame 9 point but it has a little sticker at the base making it a ten pointer. To put it in perspective, that’s a lot of inches on a buck that has two points that aren’t very long. In other words, it’s a lot bigger in person! Nice work again Justin!
“Last Friday my son and I headed into the woods for what we had a hunch was going to be a great day. Temps were good and wind was good out of the NW. We sit about 200 yards apart up over a hill from each other and at about 10:00 AM my phone started going off from him stating he had an encounter with a GIANT! Over the next 2.5 hours this buck who was tending a doe would go back and forth over the top of the hill between Brynden and me. Each of us having him with in range and no shot multiple times. Finally, at 12:30 I Snort Wheezed at him twice . He grunted really loud and came on down the hill. This time I was able to get a shot. At 21 yards and slightly quartering to I took the shot and heard it hit. He trotted off and bedded about 140 yards away. I did bring in a drone that night for the recovery as I hit him a little further back than I intended and did not have a blood trail to track. The drone was unable to locate the deer, and we went in to check where he had bedded down. The buck was actually right there and had expired.”
