Congrats to Todd Poeschel with his buck he arrowed this past weekend in Buffalo County! Todd is a Pipefitter Foreman working out of our Altoona location.
“We’ve been grinding through corn harvest all week, but decided to shut down the machines early yesterday. I got home at 4:45 and figured I’d head to the other farm for an evening hunt, especially since one of my target bucks showed up on camera that morning working a freshly cut cornfield. Running late, I didn’t settle into the stand until 5:10. Almost immediately, a buck emerged and started working scrapes in my direction. As he approached, I realized I’d never seen this deer before. He freshened up a scrape just 15 yards from my stand, and I made the decision to take him. While he wasn’t one of my target bucks, he more than fit the bill when he stepped out – a truly mature buck with incredible mass. He tipped our scale at 229 pounds dressed!”
