Congrats to Luke DuBois with his giant Kansas buck taken on public land! Luke is Journeyman Plumbing Foreman working out of the De Pere location.
“I was hunting a little pinch point on the edge of some CRP hoping to catch a buck slipping thru scent checking the field. It didn’t work out exactly like I envisioned…but it worked out nonetheless. I had a doe pop out of the woods without warning 30 yards to my right and walk right into the pinch. I was watching her for about a minute when I heard a twig snap where she had just walked out of the woods from. I grabbed my bow immediately. By the time I turned back he was just getting into my first shooting lane. I drew back, aiming into the next lane that would offer me a better angle with more time to settle my pin. I had rehearsed this part in my head a bunch that morning. I was ready. He entered it just as he should have and I watched him go down after a 50 yard sprint. I knew he was big, but I never had a chance to really look at him until I walked up to him. It just happened so fast. Needless to say I’ll be on cloud 9 for awhile! Kansas public land
