“I took the week of 11/3-11/7 off to hunt the rut. All week was slow for deer movement until Thursday. I missed an opportunity Thursday morning at a decent buck. Went back out on Friday to sit in Brian Mier’s stand since he was tagged out. Brian had his cell camera by his stand and was watching it live. Before light, I could hear a deer walking through grunting but couldn’t see the deer until he walked right under me walking away. I quick looked at Brian’s camera because it was shared with me and seen it was a decent buck. I thought then my hunt was over before it even started. I grabbed my grunt call and did a few soft grunts like he had just did. I heard him come back around and started thrashing a bush in a distance and the he headed back towards me. I got my eyes on the deer finally and it gave me a perfect broadside shot at 25 yards. I took my phone out to text Brian that I just shot, and before I could send, I received a text from Brian telling me to shoot. I responded by saying I just did. Deer ran 30 yards!”
