Retiree Jay Swoboda is more than enjoying retired life. He recently took a guided moose hunt in Alberta, Canada, near Swan Hills.
Jay hunted with Buckstop Outfitters, who also offer wilderness rut deer gun hunts. Hunters sleep in the outfitter’s tents, and the group used side by sides to reach the hunting areas before hiking in from there. Grizzly bears are plentiful in the area, so all of the guides carry guns for protection.
Jay’s group went four for five this year.
