Isaac Blohowiak connected on a monster buck on Thursday, October 29, in Grant County, Wisconsin, with his bow. The buck scored 140 3/8″, which now puts Isaac in second place in the 2026 TG Buck Pool.
It rained the entire night before, and the temperature dropped 20 degrees. Knowing that, Isaac walked two miles back to a known doe bedding area on a ridge top and set up downwind, hoping a cruising buck would come by.
It didn’t take long. Not five minutes into shooting light, a small buck came working the ridge top. Right behind him was the buck Isaac ended up shooting. The big buck came to within five yards of the base of Isaac’s tree, but somehow he had Isaac figured out. The shot was frontal, but the arrow hit perfectly, and the buck expired 70 yards down the drainage ditch.
Isaac’s buddy Nate – Max Ronsman’s brother – helped with the drag out.
Isaac is a Local 400 5th Year Plumbing apprentice working out of Northeast Wisconsin. Congrats, Isaac, on a stellar buck!
