  • Shawn Thomas (WI Bow)

Congratulations to Shawn Thomas on yet another great buck for the TG Buck Pool!. Shawn said that this buck was cruising through looking for does and all he saw were the antlers and didn’t have much time other than to shoot as this buck was in a hurry to get where he was going. I’d say he made the right choice as I was able to score this brute and it ended up with a 143 7/8″ of gross score! This buck is from the Door County area and had 12 points, 15 1/2″ spread and just under 20″ main beams. It was a pretty thick rack as most of the “H” measurements were in excess of 4″ in diameter. Shawn is a plumbing superintendent and is currently running the the Aurora Sheboygan project.

John is a Project Manager and works out of the De Pere office.
  • Todd Nicholas (WI Bow)

Congrats to Todd Nicholas on his big old swamp buck taken in Green Lake County near the Berlin area!! Todd is fitter foreman out of Local 400. Below is what Todd sent me via email with some details:

Shot this buck Friday at 3:45 PM and retrieved Saturday morning. Don’t know when I will be able to get it to you to score as I will have to wait to get it back from taxidermist. The one picture is of my son whom is on the left, and my nephew on the right. They dragged it out of the marsh for me which probably saved me a heart attack…LOL.

Taken with crossbow. Deer weighed 179# dressed out.

Buck just makes 17” inside spread. Main frame 8 pt.

Had 4 Kickers, one of which is legal and possibly another one. The other two were broke off and probably wouldn’t of made legal.

I say 3 ½ year old for sure, but others are saying possibly 4 ½, need to find out from taxidermist.

  • Kevin Duquaine (WI Bow)

Kevin Duquaine with his nice 7 pointer taken on Sunday. Looks like he put a great shot on it but surprisingly it went another 70 yards. Kevin is a sheet metal foreman and is currently working on the Commercial Horizons project in the Titletown District. Congrats Kevin!
